Responses and recommendations are based on Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) publications, USDA and other research-based resources. This service is free to residents of Bedford County. We’ll be happy to share information with you on Lawn & Garden, Crops & Soils, Insect & Pest Management, Best Growing Practices… the list goes on and on. Upon request, kits are provided for soil sample analysis at Virginia Tech. We also accept samples of insects or diseased plants for identification. Call ahead for details.
