Learn how to grow a dozen culinary herbs. For each herb, discover the best time and way to start, cultural conditions, harvesting and preserving
techniques, and methods for using them in the kitchen. These herbs are easy to grow and can be grown in containers for the summer.
Peggy Riccio is a horticulturist and garden communicator in Northern Virginia. She has been growing and cooking with herbs for her family’s meals for 20 years. Currently she is the chair of the Potomac Unit of the Herb Society of America and has written many herb articles plus has presented in person and virtually. She has a website, pegplant.com, which is an online resource for gardeners in the DC metro area, and she publishes a local gardening newsletter, Pegplant’s Post Gardening Newsletter. Join her to continue the conversation about herbs at the Facebook group called Culinary Herbs and Spices. Flyer attached.
