May 7 – Riverside Park, 2238 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg – Hill City Master Gardeners’ Festival of Gardening returns to Riverside Park on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine. You’ll find more than 3,000 plants – every single one grown from seed, propagated from cutting or divided from mature plants by local Master Gardener volunteers. We offer trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs, wildflowers, houseplants, tropicals, hanging baskets and container gardens. Choose from heirlooms, unusual cultivars – some classic, some new – among the many vegetables. Vegetables include many varieties of tomatoes, from huge slicers to tiny, sweet cherries, several types of peppers, eggplant, squash, cucumbers and many more. Our prices are more reasonable than at local nurseries or big-box stores.
