Bedford Area Master Gardeners Association
Virginia Cooperative Extension
If you are looking to kickstart your gardening plans this upcoming year, the Bedford Master Gardeners will offer some
timely and relevant topics with our Grow The Good Life program for 2022. Because of continuing uncertainty about
health concerns, we will again make the program available by Zoom.
Climate Change is here. We are suffering from its impact on weather, in our homes, in our landscapes and to our basic needs. There are many things that gardeners can do to help mitigate climate change – that is help stave off climate change. There are even more things that gardeners and homeowners can do to adapt to the extreme weather, subtly changed weather and other impacts from climate change.
The focus is on many common plants growing in our gardens, yards and fields that are edible and drinkable. Discussion will be on leaves and flowers you can add to a salad, sandwich, pesto or a lovely cup of tea. Join Cindy as she takes you on a virtual walk through the garden to discover fun and interesting flora with tips on the best time to harvest and eat and how to drink these awesome plants!
