Come Help Plant Chestnut Trees in Bedford County!

Join Bedford Extension Master Gardeners and Volunteers as we plant a dozen Native Appalachian hybrid Chestnut trees on:

Saturday, November 9th.  RAIN OR SHINE!

Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the Model Plane parking lot, 2348 Falling Creek Road, Bedford, VA.

Be prepared to walk downhill a distance to the chestnut stand site. We’ll be digging holes, spreading mulch and wrapping fences around each tree.

We need to know how many participants we can count on, so please call the Bedford Cooperative Extension Office, (540) 586-7675, to volunteer.
