Want to grow your horticulture knowledge at home, without volunteer commitment? Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Bedford Area Master Gardeners are pleased to offer a computer based, modularized, self paced, independent study course developed for home gardeners.
“Horticulture Course For The Home Gardener”
Modules Include:
Introduction, Botany, Plant Propagation, Vegetables, Fruits, Lawns, Soils/Nutrients, Landscape Design, Wildlife Management, Integrated Pest Management, Entomology (Insects), Plant Pathology, Water Quality, Woody Ornamentals, Indoor Plants and Herbaceous Plants (Annuals/Perennials), Natives / Non-natives, Invasives, Indoor Plants.
This course parallels the Master Gardener training course, but does not require labs and does not result in Master Gardener certification. You may purchase the entire 15 module course for $200.00, or individual modules for $20.00 each. The botany module will be provided free with the purchase of the entire course or with the purchase of an individual module. Course content will be provided on a USB flash drive.
