In 2024, BAMGA started a community outreach program of providing mini-grants to qualified organizations for gardening projects that are consistent with the Master Gardener mission. One of the two awarded in 2024 was to Bedford Urban Garden, Inc. With the grant of $250, that organization produced fresh vegetables worth over $2500 that were donated to Bedford Christian Ministries and to low-income elderly in the John B. Early apartments. BUG also did an excellent job of publicizing BAMGA and its grant program. This shows how much an impact we can have with these grants.
